Organic Garlic Flakes are an easily storable, convenient way to add garlic to any recipe. Dried garlic has all the flavor of fresh garlic, but will not spoil and does not linger on hands or cutting boards.

Suggested Uses

  • Sauté with butter and vegetables for a simple side
  • Add to sauces, marinades and salad dressings, which will rehydrate the garlic slices
  • Add to creamy sauces and rich, creamy dishes like mashed potatoes

 

Description

  • As a cultivated crop, garlic is relatively uncomplicated and easy to grow. It can be grown year-round in milder temperatures, but can also be grown in cold climates as long as it does not freeze. The crop does well in loose soil with plenty of sun, but will also thrive in many types of soil condition and PH levels.

  • While the garlic bulb is the portion of the plant most commonly cooked with, the leaves and flowers are also edible. The green stem (sometimes called a garlic scape, spear, or top) of the immature version is also edible and is often described as having the shape of green onions with the distinct flavor of garlic.

  • There are multiple common varieties of this popular cooking ingredient, including Porcelains, Rocamboles, Purple Stripes and Artichoke garlic. They vary in size, color, yield and flavor intensity.

  • A common misconception is that elephant garlic is part of the garlic family, but it is actually related to leeks.

  • Garlic is an elemental ingredient of cooking throughout the world, as its spicy, sharp and pungent nature lends itself to many savory applications.

  • As a dry ingredient, Dried Organic Garlic Flakes can be added to recipes in place of fresh garlic to achieve the same flavor. Substitute one level teaspoon of Dried Organic Garlic Flakes for one clove of fresh garlic in recipes.

    All UPS Order shipments of Nature’s Mills products must be informed of any and all product damages and/or shortages within 3 days of receiving product to receive credit. Please take photos of all damage as reported.

    UPS reserves the right to inspect damaged goods prior to approving claims. Please hold damaged goods for at least 3-5 days after reporting to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY).

    LTL Freight Shipments

    Please inspect your LTL shipments upon receipt. Any missing or damaged product must be listed on the BOL before signing with the driver. This must be reported to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY) immediately but no later than 3 days after receiving merchandise; otherwise credit / replacement will not be given.

    Seasoning, Spice & Rub Shelf life

    Our seasoning has a 2-3year shelf life. While out of date seasoning won’t make you sick, we do not recommend selling or using it beyound the products' best buy date (shelf life). It will be stale and lack freshness.
