Ground Coriander

 

Cultivated since ancient times, Ground Coriander is highly aromatic, slightly pungent, earthy and herbaceous with an essence reminiscent of citrus peel and sage.

Suggested Uses

  • Commonly used in chili, stir-fry and curry dishes
  • Ideal for many types of ethnic cooking, such as Latin American, Middle Eastern and Indian
  • In the U.S., used to flavor breads, sausages, corned beef, stews and soups
  • Combines especially well with ginger
  • Best added to dishes just before serving as heat can reduce its potency

 

Description

  • The coriander plant (Coriandrum sativum) produces both the herb cilantro and the spice coriander.

  • A member of the parsley family, coriander comes from the Mediterranean and Middle East, and also has a long tradition of use in Asia.

  • Coriander was mentioned in the Old Testament, and there is evidence that it was cultivated in ancient Egypt. 

  • As a spice, coriander is frequently found in Indian cuisine in masalas (spice mixes) and curries, as well as in Mexican and Latin American cuisine.

  • It is often paired with cumin, and makes a great ingredient in spice rubs, adding a bright flavor. It is also part of many pickling spice mixes.

    All UPS Order shipments of Nature’s Mills products must be informed of any and all product damages and/or shortages within 3 days of receiving product to receive credit. Please take photos of all damage as reported.

    UPS reserves the right to inspect damaged goods prior to approving claims. Please hold damaged goods for at least 3-5 days after reporting to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY).

    LTL Freight Shipments

    Please inspect your LTL shipments upon receipt. Any missing or damaged product must be listed on the BOL before signing with the driver. This must be reported to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY) immediately but no later than 3 days after receiving merchandise; otherwise credit / replacement will not be given.

    Seasoning, Spice & Rub Shelf life

    Our seasoning has a 2-3year shelf life. While out of date seasoning won’t make you sick, we do not recommend selling or using it beyound the products' best buy date (shelf life). It will be stale and lack freshness.
